Marketing & Events Officer (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for an experienced Marketing and Events professional to join a global marketing team as maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to design and deliver a diverse range of high-quality events, promoting one of Europe's leading technology brands across the globe.

A creative and varied new role within a fast-paced organisation, you will be highly organised, with lots of energy, an eye for detail, and a real passion for delivering compelling audience experiences. You will join a team of events professionals designing and managing over 50 client facing exhibitions and hosted events each year. You will need to be a team player willing to cover a range of activities to deliver outstanding results.


* Deliver a range of exhibitions each year, starting with an initial brief and project plans, through the seamless execution of each event. This will include a range of exhibition types - including speaking, sponsoring, exhibiting and hosted workshops
* Work with the rest of the marketing team to deliver a complete event package, including graphic design, database management, administration, PR, digital, and the web site
* Work with logistics companies to ensure that all exhibition equipment and materials are delivered to venues, that staff attending the event are fully briefed and that all relevant paperwork is completed
* Work with external conference organisers, building relationships and increasing their knowledge of our core skills
* Attend exhibitions or events occasionally to observe event trends and to help with set up and tear down
* Manage the packing of event equipment for shipping, either solely or working with an administrator
* Take responsibility for the events kit schedule
* Support the marketing and events manager in delivering company-hosted innovation events, which are large, complex, in-house events involving internal and external speakers, demos and panel sessions
* Project managing event budgets


* Significant experience of relevant event management, particularly in exhibitions
* Strong project and budget management
* Creative flair and focus on delegate experience
* Highly organised and efficient, able to multi-task, and remain calm under pressure
* Ability to handle physical activities including pack-ups, setups and tear-downs
* Strong communication skills to support event discussions with internal clients
* Computer literacy - good working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Salesforce
* Ability to work outside normal office hours and undertake international travel
* A valid driving licence enabling business travel related to events
