Process Operative

We are looking for a self-motivated Process Operative to join the operations team of a company in Royston. You will be involved in testing, quality control and assisting in the production of specialised consumables alongside helping the Health and Safety Chairman with ad-hoc admin tasks such as maintaining COSHH database, tracking Risk Assessments and maintaining records.


* Maintain excellent housekeeping in the laboratory whilst following appropriate safety, environment and risk management systems
* Perform laboratory tasks following specified methodologies, such as Standard Operating Procedures
* Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of laboratory work undertaken and results
* Testing and implementation of production methods
* Maintenance of equipment used
* Participation in multidisciplinary meetings giving updates and feedback
* Administrative tasks to help maintain and improve the health and safety processes
* Become an active member of the health and safety committee


* Organised with an eye for detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is essential
* Self-motivated, curious and creative
* Ability to work on your own initiative, follow protocols consistently and to produce accurate records
* Excellent manual dexterity is essential, for manipulating small components
* A pragmatic approach to problem solving
